Art Everywhere US Debuts Nationwide

NEW YORK — Art Everywhere US, the ambitious effort to place famous American art nationwide through out-of-home, officially launched this morning in Times Square.

(Photo courtesy Art Everywhere US)From now through August 31, as many as 50,000 digital and static displays in all 50 states—billboards on city streets and rural highways, displays on bus shelters and subway platforms, dioramas in airports, videos in health clubs, trailers in movie theaters and more—will present 58 works of art, chosen earlier this year via an online poll.

JCDecaux Buys CEMUSA for €80 Million

PARIS — JCDecaux SA  announced an agreement today to acquire all of CEMUSA, an outdoor-advertising subsidiary of Madrid-based FCC Group,  for €80 million.

Created in 1984, CEMUSA operates in street furniture and transport in the United States, Brazil, Spain, Portugal and Italy. With 57,000 advertising panels, CEMUSA generated revenues of €142 million in 2013.

The acquisition will establish and develop JCDecaux’s presence in New York, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon and Genoa, and in 41 Spanish airports, including Madrid and Barcelona.
