Boston Station Goes Red, White and Blue for I-Day

BOSTON – The exterior of Boston’s South Station donned patriotic colors for the Independence Day weekend, courtesy of Clear Channel Outdoor and Equity Office.

TABThe change to note viewers passing by ads at various speeds throughout the day is part of a larger update of TAB’s Out of Home Ratings system, with the help of vehicular speed data supplied by INRIX®, Inc., a leading provider of traffic information and driver services, makes out-of-home advertising a time-based medium for the very first time.

Titan Continues Philadelphia Transit Ad Rights

PHILADELPHIATitan will keep its exclusive right to sell advertising on the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) system for at least another five years.

A new contract, beginning May 1, extends the rights through 2019, with two additional two-year options. The deal is worth a minimum $150 million to SEPTA through all nine possible years of the agreement.

The contract, won competitively, means that Titan will continue a relationship with SEPTA that began in 2005.

SEPTA is the fifth-largest transit system in the United States, serving 24 million passengers per month. It operates regional commuter trains, subway rapid transit, light rail trolleys, electric trolleys and buses.

CBS Outdoor, Turner in NYC Subway Network Pact

NEW YORK — CBS Outdoor will partner with Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) on a digital out-of-home network in New York subway stations, with programming that includes this year’s NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship.

Blue Outdoor Sells Ad Rights to Boston’s South Station

BOSTON — Blue Outdoor announce the sale yesterday of its media advertising sales and management rights at Boston’s South Station to Clear Channel Outdoor. Terms were not revealed.

logo_blueoutdoorComprised of 40,000 square feet of commuter space, South Station is the largest train station in New England and one of Boston’s two major transportation hubs, serving four million visitors monthly as a major hub for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s “T” (Boston’s primary public transportation system). Additionally, South Station is a main stop for Amtrak’s Northeast Regional service.

The station’s advertising offering includes over 70 static faces, as well as and two 10’H x 17’W LED screens installed last year.
