Place-Based Media Gains Media at Online Expense

NEW YORK – A new survey of agency media planners conducted by the Digital Place-Based Advertising Association (DPAA) reveals a continuing shift of digital and online budgets into digital place-based (DPB) media.

Digital Place-Based Advertising AssociationNearly 46% of planners said they will fund their DPB media plans through digital and online budgets, an increase of 10.6% from last year and 14.5% more than 2012.

Planners picked outdoor (57.5%) as the top budget for funding. National/local television budgets were selected by 32.7%, with 24.9% coming from experimental/test funds. Mobile budgets rounded out the top five at 22.4%.

WARRENTON, Va. – The Digital Signage Federation® will host one of its popular networking Meet & Greet events on Oct. 21 in support of New York Digital Signage Week.

WARRENTON, Va. – The Digital Signage Federation® announced the establishment today of the “Geri Wolff Scholarship Fund” for young women committed to majoring in computer sciences as a way in which to interest them in choosing a career in the digital signage industry.

ATLANTA –Nominations are now being taken for the 12th Annual APEX Awards for Digital Signage Installations and Content.

Apex Awards - DSEThe awards, offered by digital-display/interactive-technology trade event DSE, will honor exceptional digital signage or interactive programs installed between Nov. 1, 2013, and Nov. 1 of this year. Submissions deadline is Friday, Oct. 17.
