Adspace Networks Adds Nine U.S. Malls

NEW YORK – Adspace Networks Inc. adds nine malls to its ever-expanding digital place-based network, bringing the total to 222 malls nationwide.

Adspace NetworksIncluded in the expansion will be The Mall at Bay Plaza in Bronx, N.Y., which opened Aug. 14. It’s the first enclosed mall to open in nearly 40 years in New York, with Adspace Networks as its exclusive digital partner.

The Mall at Bay Plaza is a 780,000 ft² three-level mall, which includes a new 160,000 ft² Macy’s (the first new New York location for the retailer in 15 years) and an existing JCPenney as the anchor tenants. More than 100 retail shops will operate at the mall, many of which will debut in the Bronx for the first time.

BroadSign Expands Saudi Bank Coverage

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – BroadSign International will offer its cloud-based digital-signage software to another bank network here.

Broadsign and 4CSaudi technology company 4C Solutions Ltd. will use the BroadSign solution in the Riyad Bank network of more than 200 screens across 150 branches. Completion of the initial deployment is expected for the end of Q3 2014, with hopes to expand the network from half to all of the bank’s locations in 2015.

4C also uses BroadSign’s platform for its 50 Saudi Hollandi Bank branches.

PQ Media: Digital OOH 11% Global Growth in 2014

STAMFORD, Conn. – Global digital out-of-home media should pick up its growth pace this year to 11.3%, besting the 9.3% revenue gain to $8.86 billion last year, according to marketing-research firm PQ Media.

First-half 2014 indicators show a dynamic combination of the global economy gaining momentum, two sporting mega-events, and increased healthcare, political and transit ad spending, notes PQ Media’s new Global Digital Out-of-Home Media Forecast 2014-18. It also predicts DOOH revenues will post a 12.4% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in the 2014-18 period, reaching $15.92 billion.

Clear Channel Outdoor Offers Mixed 2Q Results

SAN ANTONIO — Clear Channel Outdoor (CCO) showed a slight increase in revenue during this year’s second quarter, as strong international performance offset a decline in domestic performance.

Clear Channel OutdoorClear Channel Outdoor Holdings Inc. reported on July 23 that overall 2Q 2014 revenues of $781 million showed a 2% uptick when compared to last year. International business increased 7% to $462 million, while the Americas portion of the revenues fell 5% to $319.1 million.
